Kenneth L. Norman (Founder) started out as a construction journeyman for a large trade in Pittston, Pennsylvania. After 12 years of experience in this field, Norman's inner philanthropist encouraged himself to give it back to the society and he began to host charitable clothing & shoes donations at his humble garage on his days off-work.
The first few batches of donations were by Norman's colleagues and he noticed it was a significant amount of broken protection wear - both clothings and shoes. What triggered him more was the way his colleagues always come to his house for dinner in one unchanged pair of rigid unattractive safety shoes which do not match their casual tees and berms.
With the help of a shoemaker close friend and his own experience with protection footwear, Norman made 10 pairs of work shoes that offer safety comparable to military-graded boots but look no less handsome than sportswear and gifted them to his work friends for Thanksgiving.
Never did he think the shoes were so well-loved and caught the eyes of his ex-employer. Realizing how lucrative this business idea was, Norman established Zespik® and invested in his team of 20 experts to spend months on construction sites, factories and warehouses. They wanted to understand what manual working communities go through while working all-day on feet under hazardous conditions.
Believing that protection footwear can provide both protection and rugged handsomeness, Norman and the team experimented with numerous prototypes and finally came up with the OG Zespik® Alpha, Zespik® PowerFlex and Zespik® PowerLite.
After 4 years of listening to the ever-differing needs of thousands of customers, Zespik's product portfolio proudly amounts to over 30 shoe models and complementary accessory essentials. Our Power Steel-Toe Work Shoes have been dearly trusted by working communities from across the world by meeting global qualifications for work safety (ASTM F2413).
ZESPIK IS THE GIFT OF EXPERT, TRUST AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING. AND WE VOW TO TAKE IT FURTHER.
